Call up a friend who makes you laugh, watch a funny movie or a stand up comedian. Allow yourself to let go and feel the playful side of yourself. Try to find something to laugh at every single day.
It's quite easy to do, even if you have to go search for it. Subscribe to funny social media channels or blogs. Share a funny story with a friend or co-worker. Reminisce about a funny experience you shared with a loved one. Perhaps you have a video of something that makes you laugh that you can use as your go-to pick me up whenever things feel too heavy and you just want to feel a little bit lighter.
Did you know that laughing affects your body the same way a brisk walk does? It can increase your heart and lung capacity, lower your cortisol levels (which improve your heart health, lower blood pressure and reduce excess belly fat). All the more reason to find something funny to laugh at today and everyday!
